This is one of my works from a still life drawing class I took back in the fall semester of 2019. If I remember correctly, the subject is supposed to be a wooden guitar stand from two different angles, the back and a side of it.

As for the medium, the instructor told us to use Crayola branded crayons. As strange as it may sound that I, along with several other classmates, had to use a medium that’s marketed towards children in primary schools, there were two reasons for this:

1) Crayola crayons are inexpensive – they’re cheap.
2) They produce vibrant colors on paper.

I was instructed to draw what I see, starting from a yellow crayon and gradually using darker and darker colors. The colors went from yellow, orange, red, blue, purple, and finally black. The lighter colors were used to initially form the subject, while darker colors were used to finalize the form and add shading to the drawn subject.
